IZOLAG - GRAFFITI - BRASIL

Com publicações em livros, revistas, entre outros, o trabalho de Izolag está presente em galerias e coleções pelo mundo, apresentando técnicas e estilos diversificados.

Izolag já teve exposições no Brasil, Alemanha, Holanda, Estados Unidos, Bélgica e Austrália , estando em coleções particulares desde 2006, alguns colecionadores possuem até 15 obras do artista.

Izolag também esteve na primeira e segunda edições da Bienal Internacional de Graffiti Fine Art da MuBE, em São Paulo, em 2010 e 2013, respectivamente. Também em 2013, o artista foi convidado pela ONU a participar da exposição Encontro das Áfricas - ONU (Organização das Nações Unidas), no Rio de Janeiro.

Izolag atua a longo tempo, na área de identidade visual, capas de disco, palcos, e murais, já fez projetos com grandes nomes como NIKE, APPLE entre outros.

Izolag nasceu no Rio e se interessou por desenho e pintura ainda criança, na Bahia, onde passou a infância e adolescência. Em Salvador, cursou artes plásticas e aprofundou as pesquisas em graffiti, stencil, poster e caligrafia, tornando-se peça fundamental da técnica stencil. Ficou conhecido pela utilização da técnica em grandes proporções e com diversas camadas de cores, criando uma ilusão mais realista das imagens. É um dos pioneiros no Brasil. Em 2013, inventou uma nova técnica de stencil com linhas em ângulos. Além o artista é conhecido por destruir suas gravura após uma única utilização, e em 2014, construiu o maior stencil do mundo, a maior gravura já feita na história, no centro do Rio de Janeiro.

“Style Lines” a série mais recente do artista que submerge a imagem na escuridão através de linhas de cor, é a prova de que Izolag sempre se reinventa com o tempo.

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1983, moved at age 7 in Southern Bahia Itacaré. In 2003 he was studying fine arts in Salvador at the Federal University of Bahia, in 2004 began to define his own style and enhance the use of the Stencil technique, (which itself is a major reference on the subject, and collectors ranging from abandoned houses, European prisons, corporations and various galleries spread across the world.)

During the course of Fine Arts, Izolag began painting murals on the streets of Salvador, but soon turned his production to the development of the Stencil technique, one of the oldest techniques of engraving, used for thousands of years. At this time, Izolag stood out with the development of Stencil with multiple colors, because it was not common to see this kind of work in Brazil and worldwide.

Old papers, leather, wood, canvas, brushes, markers, carcasses from different sources, a lot of ink and various techniques that go far beyond the stencil's multicolored, these are mostly the raw material used by the artist to achieve their goals and makes full success, blending past, present and future, beyond the themes that portray social commitment informative his paintings have strong influences from music, portrayed not only by, but also the atmosphere that this refers to the movement of the music, rhythms and forms.

Izolag continue adding innovative aspects in his work, blending techniques with his own style, a real human work and where the concept is explicit to the observer, finding the use of the old and new techniques, which merges the digital and manual process.
